Monday, May 2nd, 2011

I just saw the headline on the Huffington Post that just read “DEAD” and Brian Leo‘s installation from Fountain Art Fair 2011 was one of the first things to come to mind. Has to be a pretty good thing right? Great success world…

FOUNTAIN ART FAIR 2011

Saturday, March 5th, 2011

Street Artist Dick Chicken

Last night was the first night the NYC Fountain Art Fair was open to the public. This was an incredibly eclectic mix of art showcased in a pretty incredible location, ON THE FUGGIN’ HUDSON RIVER!!! More specifically Pier 66 Maritime @ 26th Street & 12th Avenue in the Hudson River Park. All the art was displayed beautifully and all the artists were more then happy to chat ya up on their pieces. The icing on the cake, that was delicious art, was the live music they had in the stern quarters of the dock (stern quarters is nautical speak for back of). Last night our ears had the pleasure of hearing Gordon Voidwell, Telca and Generic.

The Fountain Art Fair will be running throughout the weekend. General Public Hours: March 4- March 6, 12pm – 7pm; Special Events: Thrusday March 3, 12pm-5pm – VIP & Press Preview. Friday, March 4, 7pm-12am – Opening Night Reception – Musical Performance: Gordon Voidwell, Tecla and Generic. Saturday Lomography Picture Party, March 5, 7pm-12am – Musical Performance: Ninjasonik and NSR.

Please check this out before it’s too late!
