I ♥ NYC
Found in Inwood: Ride the local 1 or express A to 181st St in Manhattan and walk west making your way towards the Hudson River. After you cross over the West Side Highway the walkway slopes downward to eventually meet the Little Red Lighthouse. Before you get there you’ll see a police barricade on your right hand side blocking a foot path that winds its way down to the train tracks. Ignore the barricade. Make your way through the windy path of trees and thorny bushes. After 30 yards or so you’ll find a chain link fence that has been knocked down to the ground. Step on and/or over this fence and proceed forward. At this point you’ll now find yourself walking on train tracks owned by Amtrak. Yes, it’s illegal to be there. It’s a 5 minute walk before you can escape off the tracks to get yourself back on a delineated park path. During those 5 minutes you’ll find this brand spankin’ new killer piece. Snoeman & Curve.
I know nothing about this, where it came from, who made it, why it exists, etc. But OMG this is mindbogglingly fantastic. My favorite is the fly on the horse. Giddy-yup!!

Be Nice Art Friends would like to say Happy August to everyone! We want you all to enjoy the rest of the summer because it’s moving fast. That said, it’s time for an 80′s childhood flashback to celebrate the heart of Summer. This is the ending of a longer 24 minute video but forget the whole film, this is the part you want to watch. Animated pinball heroes come to life. Watch this mighty battle unfurl and be grateful that Space Invaders is only a game.
“Take a picture of a picture from the past in the present.”
This is such a perfect concept. Browsing through the photos makes me want to go to my moms house and start looking through all of the shoe boxes of photos from the ’80′s.

Everyone I know loves Adele, and you should too. It’s rare that a voice can cut right into your heart and fill you with emotion. Adele achieves this time and time again, flawlessly. Here she is as part of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.
